THE PURPOSE
- To create a platform for promoting & advancing the National Agenda with respect to coal gasification in the country.
- For collective efforts to promote communication, knowledge sharing & exchange of ideas among the members of the association to achieve the goal.
- To promote R&D, Publications, Seminars, Workshops to further the advancement of coal gasification technology
- To be a common voice for the policy advocacy on coal gasification.
- To create a platform for data and knowledge repository on coal gasification.
MAIN OBJECTIVE
To promote, support and protect, by legitimate and constitutional means, the interests of the members of the association companies, which are investing in clean & green technology, specific to coal gasification technology.
- To protect the interest of companies, which are working on coal gasification technology or planning to collaborate & invest in clean & green technology, specific to coal gasification technology.
- To liaison with government to provide the support in developing the policy framework for “Coal Gasification” and incentivize coal gasification projects such as allocation of dedicated resource of requisite quality, fast track approvals, technology collaboration and to promote the adaptation of clean & green technology.
- To promote initiatives for sustainable, gainful & maximum utilization of national coal reserves.
- To harness value added products through coal gasification for reducing import dependency.
ANCILLIARY OBJECTIVE
- To have regular consultation and work with the Niti Aayog, Ministry of Coal, Ministry of Environmental & Forest, and State governments.
- Seek fast track approvals on the problems faced by the member companies of the Association in getting Coal Linkage, Land Acquisition, Forest Clearance, Environmental Clearance, Relief & Rehabilitation.
- To promote research work specifically keeping utilization of low-grade Indian coal in purview
- To strive continuously for widespread implementation of clean/green technology, carbon capture and decarbonization initiatives in India.
- To encourage & assist in fast growth of private sector participation in coal gasification technology.
- To organize exhibitions seminars conferences with respect to the area of interest of the association
- To sponsor on its own and/or arrange through agencies of the government, visit of delegation of member entities to foreign countries to promote the interests of the Indian coal and lignite industry in the area such as market service, exports, joint ventures, collaboration, acquisition of coal and lignite mines in other countries and all other matters that are directly & indirectly associated with Coal Gasification.
- To collaborate with other organizations, research institutes or companies having expertise in coal gasification for knowledge sharing.
- To do all such other lawful acts as may be conducive for sustainable growth of India coal gasification industry.
